Terms & Conditions

Effective date: July 19, 2026  ·  Version 1.0

By checking "I agree to the Terms & Conditions" and booking an appointment with Northern Tier Mount Co. ("we," "us," "the Company"), you ("the Customer," "you") agree to be bound by the terms below. Please read them before booking. If you do not agree, do not check the box or complete a booking.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern all bookings, services, and payments made through northerntiermount.co (or wherever this site is hosted) and in connection with any appointment scheduled with Northern Tier Mount Co. Booking an appointment, checking the agreement box, and/or submitting payment constitutes acceptance of these Terms in full.

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement, including authority over the property where service is to be performed (as owner, tenant, or with the owner's permission), to book an appointment.

2. Services Provided

Northern Tier Mount Co. provides television mounting and picture/art hanging services, including the installation of wall-mounted brackets and specialty anchoring hardware designed for use without requiring a wall stud. Services may also include cable concealment and provision of mounting hardware, where selected and paid for at booking.

We do not perform electrical work, install in-wall wiring beyond passing existing cables through installed cable-concealment channels, or perform structural modifications to walls. Any such work is outside the scope of services and is the Customer's responsibility to arrange separately.

3. Service Area

Service is currently offered within Binghamton, NY and surrounding areas. We reserve the right to decline or reschedule a booking at an address outside our service area, or to apply an additional travel charge, at our discretion, communicated to the Customer prior to the appointment.

4. Wall Type & Site Conditions

We use TOGGLER SNAPTOGGLE® heavy-duty toggle bolt anchors, manufacturer-rated up to 238 lbs per anchor in 1/2" drywall and 802 lbs per anchor in concrete/block, designed for use on standard drywall and plaster walls without requiring a wall stud. We do not currently service brick or concrete walls. The Customer is responsible for accurately identifying the wall type when booking. If, upon arrival, the wall type is found to be materially different than represented (e.g., brick or concrete where drywall was indicated), we reserve the right to decline the job on-site. In that case, the deposit is treated according to the cancellation policy in Section 7 based on how much notice, if any, was given, and no additional charge will apply for a job we decline to perform for this reason.

Anchor load ratings reflect the manufacturer's published ultimate (failure) load per anchor under laboratory conditions; actual safe working capacity depends on the number of anchors used, wall condition and thickness, and other site-specific factors, and is determined by us at the time of installation using professional judgment and standard industry practice.

The Customer is responsible for disclosing any known hazards behind the intended mounting location, including but not limited to electrical wiring, plumbing, HVAC ducting, or structural elements. We use a multi-scanner detection tool designed to detect live electrical wiring and metal pipes prior to drilling or anchoring, but cannot guarantee detection of all hidden hazards, and are not liable for damage to concealed wiring, plumbing, or other infrastructure that was not disclosed and was not reasonably detectable using this equipment.

5. Booking, Estimates & Pricing

Prices are as displayed on the booking site at the time of booking and are itemized based on the options selected (TV size, hardware provided, cable concealment, additional items, rush service, etc.), plus applicable New York State and Broome County sales tax. All prices are estimates based on information provided by the Customer at booking; final pricing may be adjusted if conditions on-site differ materially from what was represented (for example, an inaccurately described TV size, wall type, or additional items not disclosed at booking), and any adjustment will be communicated to the Customer before additional work proceeds.

A rush surcharge of 50% applies to any appointment booked and scheduled to begin within 4 hours of the time of booking.

6. Deposit & Payment

A deposit is required at the time of booking to hold your appointment. The deposit consists of: (a) 20% of the pre-tax service cost, (b) 100% of the applicable sales tax on the full estimated job, and (c) an estimated card processing fee for the full transaction. The remaining balance, the remaining 80% of the pre-tax service cost, is due at the time of the appointment and may be paid by cash, Venmo, Zelle, CashApp, or card, at the Customer's choice.

Deposits are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store or have direct access to your full card number.

The card processing fee included in the deposit is calculated at the standard published Stripe rate for U.S. card transactions (currently 2.9% + $0.30) applied to the full estimated job total, and is disclosed to you prior to payment. This fee is a surcharge to cover the actual cost of card processing and is not intended to exceed our actual processing cost.

7. Cancellations & Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment using the private link included in your booking confirmation email.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule an appointment due to circumstances beyond our control (illness, weather, vehicle trouble, emergency, etc.), in which case any deposit paid will be refunded in full or applied to a rescheduled appointment at the Customer's choice.

8. No-Shows & Failure to Provide Access

By booking an appointment, you authorize us to save your payment method on file and to charge that payment method the full remaining balance (the remainder not covered by the deposit) if: (a) no one authorized to grant access is present or reachable at the scheduled appointment time and location, and (b) the appointment was not cancelled or rescheduled in advance through the process described in Section 7.

This charge compensates for the time reserved and travel undertaken for the appointment. If you believe a no-show charge was applied in error, contact us directly to resolve it.

9. Customer Responsibilities

The Customer agrees to:

10. Limitation of Liability

We carry out all work with reasonable care and using industry-standard equipment and techniques. However, to the maximum extent permitted by New York law:

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for damage caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct, or limits any right that cannot be limited under applicable New York law.

11. Workmanship Warranty

We warrant that mounting hardware installed by us will remain securely anchored under normal use for 30 days from the date of installation. If a mount installed by us fails under normal use within this period, contact us and we will repair it at no additional labor charge. This warranty does not cover damage caused by the Customer, third parties, extreme weather, structural settling or wall failure unrelated to our installation, or removal/reinstallation by anyone other than us. This warranty does not cover the television, artwork, or item mounted, or any manufacturer's hardware, which remain subject to their own manufacturer warranties, if any.

12. Photographs

We may take before/after photographs of completed work for our own records and, unless you tell us otherwise, for use in marketing materials (our website, social media, or advertising). Photographs will not include your name, address, or other identifying information without your separate consent. You may opt out of marketing use of photographs at any time by contacting us directly.

13. Privacy

We collect the information you provide at booking (name, phone, email, address, appointment details) solely to schedule and carry out your appointment, process payment, and communicate with you about your booking. We do not sell your information. Payment information is processed by Stripe and is subject to Stripe's own privacy and security practices.

14. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform obligations under these Terms due to causes beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disaster, illness, accident, or government restriction.

15. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or services performed will first be addressed through good-faith direct communication between the parties. If unresolved, either party may pursue the matter in the small claims or applicable court of Broome County, New York.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the booking site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Terms in effect at the time of a given booking govern that booking.

17. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms, together with the pricing and policies stated on the booking site at the time of booking, constitute the entire agreement between the Customer and Northern Tier Mount Co. regarding the services booked.

18. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be directed to the contact information listed on the main site.
